credit union account opening software 

 

Overview:

The credit union wanted to transition to a new account opening software and we were tasked with developing conversion training. We created a 1-day instructor-led training (ILT) session and ran this training for two weeks for all employees to attend in small class sizes. We also uploaded online materials in the LMS for employees to access after training for additional practice. This was a large-scale conversion training as almost everyone in the credit union needed to be familiar with the new system.​

Design & Process:

We utilized the ADDIE process to develop this conversion training. We started the process by holding numerous meetings with the project leads and Operations Support to analyze what was needed. We created an outline of topics and defined the scope of training. We then moved into the design phase to brainstorm the best way to present this material to our employees. We decided an Instructor-Led Training would be the best option so that our employees could get hands-on practice with real time feedback. We then developed our learning materials using Rise to build the main course, and Microsoft Word to develop supplemental handouts such as the practice checklist; the course also included role-play exercises. We then implemented the training and ran sessions for two weeks, including a virtual-led training for our fully remote employees. We included a Level I evaluation at the end of the class which we received an average 4.8/5.0 reviews on with positive feedback about the course structure, content, and organization. We plan to implement a Level II evaluation in the near future to assess our employee’s ability to complete the account opening process.

Additional Training:

The Rise course utilized to facilitate the ILT is hosted in our LMS for employees to reference at any time. It includes process screenshots, procedure references, and everything needed to complete the account opening process successfully. We also created an additional practice checklist for our learners to access at any time.
